Preparing for texture painting

- [Voiceover] In this movie I want to get started at the texture painting process. That is the process of building and assembling a texture that is going to apply to our game model here. So, this is going to rely on using photographic images as well as our texture painting skills. We're going to actually be applying brush strokes to the 3D model here to paint onto the surface of the model. Now to get started at doing this, I want to confirm that our model does indeed have UV mapping coordinates. I can do that by selecting the model, moving to the properties panel and switching to the object data tab. Now from the object data tab under the under the UV Map section, I want to make sure that this object does indeed have a UV Map applied. I can see what the mapping coordinates are by making sure the object is selected and switching to edit mode here. And by selecting all the faces inside the model.
