Removing N-gons

- [Voiceover] In the preceding movie, we constructed the floor regions for these two alcoves here, so here is one floor and here is the other floor, and I want to now focus on generating a floor for this main square region here. Now this is not so simple as simply throwing in a quad because of course we have too many sides here. If we put a single face into this floor area, we would end up with just an n-gon and we don't really want that. Now one way we could start to generate the floor for this area is to do so manually using the edge filling techniques that we've seen so far. For example, I could switch to edge mode here and select say this edge and this edge and press Alt + F on the keyboard to generate a face between these two edges. In addition, I could select this edge and this edge and then press Alt + F to generate a face there and in this way we could begin to manually rebuild the floor, but I'm not going to do that because I want to focus on a more automated method here.
