- [Instructor] In the last video we set the scale for this particular drawing sheet and I showed you how to use the length measurement tool to actually check that calibration and make sure that we are getting proper results. Now that we know we're good to go I want to go ahead and start doing some area take-offs on this particular set of drawings and figure out how much carpet I need for this project. To do that the first thing I'm going to do is close my measurement tool, zoom out and take a look at my floor plan. The first thing I notice is that I've already got some length and area take-off measurements applied to this project. For instance, I can see that somebody has already measured the area of this particular conference room here and here and it looks like that's a tool that I would just like to reuse.
