- [Jim] Welcome back to Bluebeam Tips and Tricks. I'm Jim Rogers, and this week I'm continuing a discussion started in a previous episode related to digital signatures. Now this earlier episode covered the overall concepts and explained the attributes of a true digital signature, which is actually a piece of encrypted code applied to a document to tell the user who signed it, when they signed it, and to verify that the document hasn't been altered since it was signed. Now let's continue and take a look at how you can create your own digital signature that you can use in Bluebeam, or really in many applications where you need to digitally sign a document. I'll tell you there are actually two different ways of obtaining the code that becomes your own personal digital signature.
