- Let's take a look at our timeline here, and note that it is 40 seconds along its entire length. Also, just like Photoshop, we have these layers, and as we move in time, we see different layers. If there was something below this layer, we could not see it, so you have to keep in mind, what is visible, and what is not, plus, where you are in time. Now, as for the length of the footage, we'll note here, that this sequence has a specific length that is eight seconds, and that is not possible to lengthen, although you can trim it, by dragging on the end, and then releasing later. So, as I play this, I've now trimmed it. It has not changed the file itself, just the point that you can see it. So, I'm gonna go ahead and move that back a bit. The same goes for the music clip, there on the lower layer. We can't really speed it up, or slow it down, without some specialized tools, but we can do trimming.
