- Too often, HR professionals call me for help because their culture has gotten way out of hand. People are miserable, and now, customer service is low, production is low, and turnover is high. Wouldn't it be cool to know the vibe in the office was changing long before it got to that point so you could adjust before all that time and money was wasted? Wouldn't it be cool to know you're only hiring the best people? Or, that you can predict when someone is leaving? You can do all this and more with metrics. Now, you've learned several ways to measure different HR activities throughout the course, but I wanted to mention that HR metric software might be a good way to go. This is because you don't want to measure in silos. For example, you can measure quality of hire, and onboarding effectiveness, and absence rate.
