- With the vendor response to your request for information in hand, now you can through some focus demos. At a high level, during the demo the vendor should show you how the system addresses those needs you have identified in the RFI. Expect the demo to take at least two hours to go through it properly. Having demoed and watched demos of dozens of HR products, let me share a few rules. The first rule is every demo should be attended by your entire team. Leaving a key player out of the demo review is a mistake. Now not every member of the team must sit through the entire demo if any concerns they may have were already answered. For example, IT can go first and get their technical questions out of the way. Don't schedule a demo unless everyone who should attend can attend. I'd also ask the vendor if they could send you a recorded copy of the demo afterwards as well.
