- I am so glad you've taken the time to learn about metrics, and learn how you can use them to be more strategic. You can implement initiatives based on data, and measure their success based on data. This course covered a variety of metrics throughout the employee life cycle. We talked about measuring quality of hire and cost per hire, and measuring onboarding effectiveness and satisfaction with the process. We discussed measuring absences and performance, and turnover and engagement. We also talked about measuring your own efficiency in HR, such as time to accomplish tasks and ROI. For additional resources, I definitely recommend LinkedIn Learning's huge variety of courses around metrics and statistics. You can make some cool predictions about the future using SPSS, which LinkedIn Learning also has a course on. A great book to read is an oldie but goodie, The HR Scorecord: Linking People, Strategy and Performance by authors Ulrich, Huselid and Becker. And there are a ton of other…
