- When design is a black box, to those relying on its outcomes, they're not in control of their destiny. They need to understand how design happens in the same way they need to understand the technology within their products. As we discussed, presentations are far too high-burden and low frequency to serve as our primary line of communication in a fast-paced venture. So here are a few thoughts for how you can get close and drive continuous engagement. Get current. Consider communicating continuously by replacing more formal weekly and monthly check-ins with a combination of very fast daily stand-ups alongside real-time cloud collaboration and team management platforms like Slack and Asana. Go interactive, move meetings from a presenter-audience format to interactive workshops and collaboration sessions.
