- It's impossible for any HRIS vendor to avoid scrutiny, so before you make a purchase of this magnitude, be sure to do your research. One way is to do a quick search online. On review sites like Capterra and Software Advice, you'll find what people like about the various HRIS vendors and programs and what they don't like. You'll find a list of reviews, including customer complaints related to rollout and implementation, messed up payroll, the inability to integrate with another program, hidden fees or charges, a lack of features, training, support, or customization, difficulty in pulling reports, lack of mobile capabilities, and the list goes on. It sounds like software to me. In addition to online research, many HR executives will also go to their HR, Facebook, or LinkedIn groups and ask for feedback from other HR executives using these programs.
