In this movie, I'll explain how to calculate percent changes and also how to calculate multiple discounts. So, percent change might be a situation like figuring out the percent change in temperature from one day to another. So, let's say today's high temperature, let's say it was 75 degrees, and let's say the high temperature yesterday was 65 degrees and you wanted to figure out what is the percent change in temperature from yesterday to today. The easy way to do this is to remember a formula, and the formula is the difference between the two amounts divided by the original times 100. So, let's see how this would work. The difference between 75 and 65 is 10 degrees. The original is 65 because yesterday it was 65. That's where it started. If we do that in our calculator, 10 divided by 65 is equal to approximately 0.15. The final step is multiplying by 100, so if we do that, 0.15 times 100, we're going to get about 15%.
