- One of the easiest ways to minimize paper is to avoid printing new documents in the first place. To do this, there's a very useful software called a PDF Printer. A PDF Printer is used a lot like your regular paper printer, only instead of creating a printed paper document, it saves the image of the document as a PDF to a location you choose on your computer or in the Cloud. This functionality comes built-in to Mac computers, but if you're on a PC, there's still options for you. There are a number of good PDF Printers available on the market for PC, including Adobe PDF, doPDF, and CutePDF. I'm going to use CutePDF today because it's a free option, but the others are available. First, you'll need to download the PDF Printer and install it on your computer.
