- 81% of teams report that they cannot speak boldly and courageously in a room. This is absolutely one of the greatest eroders of shareholder value I can imagine. Conflict avoidance kills value. We've got to be able to speak boldly and courageously. We've got to be able to speak, even when it's outside of our swim lane or area of expertise. Because it's going to be from that degree of courage, candor and challenge that we get richer ideas. Now, this kind of conflict avoidance is relatively normal to teams. It will be so important that this is one of the critical areas that we recontract with each other. I want to introduce a practice that I think is kind of fun. I call it a Yoda. Remember Yoda, it's that fuzzy character that has all knowledge, all wisdom, all insight.
