Affiliation and how to measure it

- Some of you are likely the type of people that leave work not having talked with anyone and you say, "Man, that was a great day." Others likely are energized by that socialization. And many of you fall somewhere in between. This represent a trait called affiliation. Affiliation is a measure of how often you're perceived as attempting to build or manage relationships with people. Having an understanding of your affiliation can help you decide when to be more friendly, less friendly, engage others, step back, and any number of other ways to improve your relationships. In this lesson, I want to walk you through the three elements of affiliation and how you can use the knowledge of these traits to manage your relationships more effectively.
