- So let's talk about informational interviews for a moment. And maybe you've heard this term before, maybe you've haven't, but that's okay. Because for a very long time, I too did not know what informational interviews were. But it's simply a time where you can sit a professional down and pick their brain. Ask them questions about their profession and also how they came to be in the profession that they're in today. For myself, I had attended an event on campus where a woman was speaking about women in education and how to be guided with your goals. And I was so intrigued about everything that she was talking about and I wanted to know more. So afterwards, I came up to her and I introduced myself. I let her know what it was that I was working on. And I also asked her if there was a way that we can get connected after this meeting. And she gave me her email.
