Data traps are misinterpretations of data that can result in poor decision-making. Here are six common data traps and curious questions you can use to avoid them. The first trap occurs when the subject expert is not a data expert. Imagine the subject expert is a seasoned leader who receives data on employee retention. She notices that the more people she promotes, the less people quit, the higher the retention rate.
