- When you're working at home, they're going to be new distractions that come up that you might not have anticipated. So when you're writing your work from home policy, it's important to be flexible on how you can avoid those new distractions that might come up for individuals. Let's talk about a few of 'em. So they're going to have phone calls or video calls, right? People need to collaborate. So you want to make sure that people have a room where they can close the door. And be able to avoid some of those external noises that might come in. You also want to make sure somebody has a good pair of headphones, so they can really zone in to the work that they're doing. And again, people might live with other folks. And it's important to set their expectations that when they're working, they are actually working. And that way, it'll help set their expectations.
