- The biggest challenge in all of this is balancing sustainability innovation with business as usual organizational operations. This really gets down to the whole building a plane while flying it. It can seem extremely daunting but it's something that organizations do all the time. And it's most easily achieved if you have this North star vision for what you're trying to achieve for the organization on a 10 year timescale, and you work all the way back to the discreet concrete actions that specific individuals or specific business groups can do today that start to start spinning the flywheel on the path to that larger grander decadal vision. At Microsoft, for instance, we committed to being a carbon negative company.
