- Some leaders fear building the strengths of the individuals on their team because they could out shine the leader, but this thinking limits not only the individuals, but also the leader and the team. Always work on investing in people to build your strongest team. Have the mindset that at any point, one of my people will take over for me, therefore I must groom them to do so.
