But I think an accountant's role is to provide stakeholders with timely, relevant information so they can make informed and timely decisions. That means an accountant is more than just an accountant. That's why I believe a skilled accountant should have strong analytical and problem solving skills. The ability for critical thinking, and strong communication skills. So, they can explain complex information in a clear, relatable way. Whenever I report information to stakeholders I always begin with reported results.
