Catchball
(upbeat music) - Hi there, welcome back. In this module we're going to talk about the next step in the Hoshin Planning process, namely, how to deploy objectives through a process known as Catchball. Well specifically, by the end of this module, you'll know what the Catchball process is, and how to go about using it to develop and deploy objectives throughout your organization. So let's get started. Now one of the key concepts that makes Hoshin Planning so powerful, is known as Catchball, which gets its name from the idea of two people throwing a ball back and forth, much like we see when two people play catch with a baseball. The basic idea of Catchball, is that managers define what the objective is. Now once this is done, they then collaborate with their subordinates, on how the objective will be met.
