Chemistry over talent

(upbeat music) - You know what, I love the drama of basketball. The back and forth down the stretch, the last second plays, the amazing buzzer beaters. It's great drama. But sometimes that drama actually continues off of the court. Kobe and Shaq couldn't get along. Apparently LeBron and Kyrie couldn't get along, either. As I thought about these things, I had a revelation. You know what, you've been lied to. (upbeat music) Maybe one of the biggest lies in the last 20 years, here's the lie, are you ready? Everything is about finding talent, there's a war for talent. It's just not true, in fact, the thing that matters more is chemistry. (romantic music) We know a lot about how to find great talent, the tools and resources that bring good candidates into the pile. Finding talent isn't that much of a mystery. What matters most is chemistry. You can think of talent like a superhero, but remember, the goal is chemistry, and that's all about getting a group of people to work together…
