- Once you've identified a few of your career weaknesses, it's time to pick one and make a choice. What are you going to do about it? The choice might feel overwhelming. To simplify things, I've created a chart for you. You'll find the imperfection action chart in the exercise files. You'll see it offers four potential options about what to do with this imperfection: decline, minimize, develop, and maximize. In the following videos, I'll explain how to do each of these in depth. Right now, I'll just provide a quick overview. First, look at the left side of this chart. At the top, you'll see the header low value or distraction. This side is for weaknesses that don't have much value in your career or distractions from what you really want to do most.
