Creating healthy information habits

- In addition to knowing what to look for when evaluating the information you come across online, it's also important to set yourself up for success by creating healthy information habits. These habits will help you cut down on the work you need to do to verify whether the information you see online is correct. One step toward creating those healthy habits is to have a diverse media diet that includes at least a few credible news organizations. For example, if I'm spending a lot of time on social media, I also want to make sure I'm incorporating credible local and national news organizations into my media diet. That way, I'm seeing news that may not go viral on social media, and it allows me to get more information on the news and information I saw on social media during the day.
