- The past decade ushered in a huge shift around workplace cultures. One critical area has been around belonging and inclusion. While our most core human need is to survive, it's followed closely by our need to belong. At our core, we're a tribal species. And entire aspects of our biology are designed to help us live and work well with others. Research tells us that a sense of belonging and inclusion matters.
