- Awkward pauses or that awkward, "Sorry, I can't hear you" moment, is the worst. It cuts off the flow of your conversation and potentially damages the perception of your professionalism. Oftentimes we hit audio problems because our internet connection is bad or because we're in an area that's really loud. To avoid these situations, here are some things to think about so you can have crisp and clear audio. Like all good presentations and meetings, preparation is key. There are so many unexpected things that can happen while you're speaking, so try and control the things you can with preparation beforehand. This means doing test runs of your connection. If you're unsure about whether your audio is going to work properly and you want to test your connection, the best thing to do is to call someone and try it out.
