- You've heard of FOMO, right? If not, it is the fear of missing out. And it's credited with people always trying to do more, interact more, and generally wondering whether they're missing out on something. It can create a lot of anxiety and stress. Similarly, let me introduce you to FOBO, or the fear of better options. This too can keep us from making a decision, always waiting for more information and less uncertainty. The fear is that once we decide, we might eliminate what might've been a better option. And this too can cause anxiety as well as delays. Here are some tips on how you can avoid FOBO in the process of making the decisions that you need to make. First, remember the purpose and impact for the decision. This should be your guiding light.
