- Okay, we're going to play a game. It's called Disruption. And before we can play, we need to know the rules. Otherwise, it becomes a game called Chaos. Chaos is when you spend all your time and energy trying to communicate, talking about what's reality, and arguing about minutia. In disruption there are rules so that people can work together, accomplish goals, and take risks without fear. Rules focus the energy of disruption, they focus the work on things that will benefit the customer. When there are rules, everyone knows the strategy, and their role in it. And knowing that allows them to take ownership and accountability of their piece. Keep in mind, you can do anything but you can't do everything. And the rules help you decide what you will do.
