- The inspirational leader, delegates as much as they can. And this takes courage. It's easy to delegate small stuff. Stuff that you don't care about. Stuff that you know people can do. But imagine delegating a big, important thing to somebody and you're not certain that they can do it. That does take courage. But it's okay, because you can monitor. You can be there to check that they're okay. You can have a meeting with them every day if you like to check that they're all right. You can say to them, "Bring me a plan "of how you're going to do this." So you can check the plan, make sure the plans all right. But it does take some courage, and you need to do that if you're going to be a great leader. And then you need to trust them to get on with it. I never trust people entirely, so I quite like to monitor a little bit. But what you could do is just monitor occasionally, and just trust them in between the monitorings,…
