Determining what type of decision you are facing

- Not all key decisions are created equally. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, defines two big types of key decisions. Type one decisions aren't reversible. So they require more care and time when making them. Type two decisions, though, are like walking through a door. If you don't like the decision, you can always go back. Knowing which type you are making can help you make better decisions and perhaps take less time when making them. So, for example, if you're approaching type two decisions as if they are heavy weight type one decisions, you're taking too much time. You may have less innovation and might be taking too few risks.
