- Much of what stands in the way of accessing and expressing our creativity is all based on one thing, fear. Fortunately, the antidote to fear is something that we all possess, curiosity. Curiosity is inquisitiveness, exploration, investigation, learning, a thirst for knowledge and an eager desire to know. When we are curious, we don't let for knowledge dictate or constrain the input of new information. Instead, we are open to the world and experiences. Curiosity pulls us forward through life but most importantly for our purposes, curiosity is the precursor to creativity. In fact, you can even say that creativity is born out of the openness and exploration that comes from curiosity. But when we are afraid of judgment that our ideas aren't good enough, or that they need to be perfect, that we can't make mistakes or that we don't have the inborn talent to be creative, we get into a place of being mentally stuck and our…
