- If you're in an industry, you probably want to know how that industry is doing economically. The good news is there are a lot of different economic indicators, data, and reports that can provide you with those insights. There are a number of different entities that produce this kind of data, including governments, like for nations and states, industry organizations, non-profits, and non-governmental organizations, or NGOs. This includes the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, or IMF, the United Nations, and think tanks, consulting firms, like my firm, Prestige Economics, and the research for my chair, the Futurist Institute, private companies, and universities.
