Eliminating surprises

- Life happens, priorities change. And you have people on both sides of your recruiting process. This can lead to surprises that could sabotage your ability to present the best talent. However, there are things that you can do to dramatically reduce them. There are three surprises that happen most often. The first is no-shows. This is when your candidate doesn't show up for their interview with you or one of your hiring managers. This is commonly referred to as ghosting. The second is counteroffers, which is when your candidate's current employer offers your candidate their next promotion and a raise to entice them to stay. The third is offer turndowns, when your candidate turns down an offer extended by your hiring manager that you knew they would accept. There are reasons these three issues are increasing.
