- When it comes to an eloquent introduction, there's actually a formula that you can use so that you have something repurposable that you can use again and again with clients and colleagues and anybody to whom you want to introduce yourself. The promise, the proof, and pass the baton. Eloquent introductions come in handy when you are in three scenarios, usually. If you're in a trusted advisory role, there are three kinds of scenarios, if you will, in which you'll find that you need to introduce yourself. The first set I call "the soccer sideline." They're very casual, social... It might be a cocktail party or something like that. It's a soccer sideline. It's less formal and can be more social.
