- When I started practicing yoga in college, which was a while ago, I started thinking deeply about presence, mindfulness, and reality. Since that time, the words we create our own reality have really stuck with me. They've supported and emboldened me to take risks and have helped bring clarity in seeing when it was time to move on. Reality is central to reframing. When I talk about looking at situations through new perspectives, what I mean is that each perspective is essentially its own unique reality. Now don't get me wrong here. Facts are facts, but your perspective on a situation, how you feel about it, what you decide about it, what your other experiences have been, will all make up your picture reality. If you're in a toxic team and have determined that you cannot stand to be there a moment longer, that's reality.
