(upbeat music) - In this lesson, we're going to talk about mindfulness and how to employ mindfulness when assessing your leadership style and ways you want to improve it. Loosely defined, mindfulness is an awareness about how your actions affect yourself and others around you devoid of judgment. Simply observe yourself. Create a list. How are all of the ways you show up as a leader in the workplace? Now, neutrally assess how you feel about each of them. Do you feel proud, excited? Are some of the ways you're asked to be a leader in the workplace annoying, distressing? As an impartial observer, go through this list, and then ask yourself, in each of these scenarios, where did my team excel, or where did they fail? Where did the outcome align with what I hoped my team would accomplish, and where did it falter? Remember not to judge yourself in terms of good or bad about how you are showing up as a leader in each of these experiences. You're simply employing neutral mindfulness in order…
