- My friend lives in an apartment complex. Life has been kind of hard for her lately. She's been low on money and paying her monthly rent has been difficult. She's had to pay some late fees, which only made things worse. Today, she got a call from the apartment manager. She almost didn't answer. When she did, the manager asked her to come by the office to chat. It was very tempting just not to show up, but she went anyway. What a surprise was waiting for her. When she walked in, the manager was very friendly. They sat down to talk and the manager thanked my friend for being such a great tenant. She said that the company appreciated how positive she had been for the three years she had lived there.
