- Visibility is important in any team to help us secure the attention, resources and talent we need to succeed. But in global teams, where people are spread around the world in different locations, it can be harder to stay visible. We need to keep visibility on our leadership agenda and manage our visibility more actively. There are three elements that we need to work on to make our global teams more visible. The first is our performance. If we're not performing well it will be a bad idea to improve our visibility. So always start there, but performance alone is not enough. Research shows that performance only contributes a small percentage to the perception of a team's effectiveness. The second factor is image. What is the impression of us that's received by others?
