Every interaction is a negotiation

- So that's how you negotiate with people at the same level as you. And I think dealing with people at the same level as you is almost always a negotiation because, with bosses and subordinates, there's a power thing, but people at the same level, there is no difference in power. So it's absolutely up for negotiation. And it doesn't have to be that you have a massive grievance with them. It doesn't have to be negative. It's just that there's something you want them to do differently or something additional that you're trying to get from them. And you might have to give them something in exchange. So I hope that helps with all of your working relationships, that it gives you a format that you can use to get better results when you're working with other people.
