Find entrepreneurs
- If you're an entrepreneur or business owner, you already know that networking is a key to your success. But I like to encourage people who are still employed at a regular job to get out and network amongst the entrepreneurs as well. Why? It's because entrepreneurs network where they will find customers, but also where they will find mentors, potential investors, and collaborations with peers. If you eventually want to quit your job and do your own thing, being around entrepreneurs will light your fire and get you around ambitious people in all fields. Entrepreneur meetups can be found at universities, locally through what's known as incubators and accelerators, pitch competitions, and through online groups like Facebook and LinkedIn. Look for the local meetings by searching the web and asking around. Join the online groups and start participating in the discussions.
