- Carlos and Enrique were at the lunch table talking about the recent company family picnic. Carlos was the main organizer and was excited that the predictive rain weather forecast turned to a sunny and warm weekend. Enrique then said in passing, "I really appreciate how intentional the organization is about including my family in events like this. It really shows that the company lives out its family values. I wonder if we could do more with this idea, like maybe a family service day? Here, Carlos has received valuable feedback about the specific quality of the event, encouragement, appreciation for more events, and even ideas to improve future performance. All of this valuable feedback happened within the course of a simple lunch break. And this brings me to another important aspect of performance feedback.
