Superbosses fall into three categories when it comes to why they wish to develop talent. In "Superbosses" I wrote about glorious bastards, bosses who want to win but who understand that winning requires world-class teams, and so they do everything possible to push their people ahead. I have since renamed these bosses glorious winners, since I realized that readers might resist applying the bastard terminology to their own behavior. Classic examples of glorious winners, include technology entrepreneur Larry Ellison and legendary filmmaker Roger Corman.
