- As we think about generosity, I think about it as generosity of spirit and generosity of time. And again, this is, I think, a term that's not very much used in business because we're always so focused on delivering impact and focusing on ruthless prioritization and what we need to get done. But, in fact, some of the most rewarding times of the day and things that I do are actually when I am more generous with my time and spirit to help others, to maybe offer a mentoring session, to take meetings that may not be top priority but I think are important to do, or also when friends ask me to do certain things, like to do certain speeches. They may not be the most high-profile things, but I think they're the right things to do because karma is important. And what goes around comes around, and how you treat others and make yourself available, I think, is a really important part of leadership. And unfortunately, I think some leaders make themselves so unapproachable and so protected that…
