Get out that smartphone

Get out that smartphone

- For this lesson it's time to break out that smartphone. Open the voice recorder app and record yourself saying each of the sentences in your presentation in which one of the words giving you trouble appears. Then play it back for yourself. This can be hard and uncomfortable. Again, be patient with yourself. Do this as many times as you need until you come to a point where you're not stopping at all when you come upon a word that typically gives you a problem. Finally, it's important to bring another human being into the process. After you're done recording yourself it's important to bring in another live human being into the equation. When it comes down to it you're going to be giving your presentation in front of a live audience. Grab a friend, a colleague, a trusted outside eye, and work through your presentation for them. This will ensure that when the heat is on, and it's time to give that presentation the words giving you problems before will be absolutely no trouble at all.
