- If there is one word that signifies the surge of change in the digital connected era we're now in, it's transformation. By transformation, we mean a significant shift in how an organization operates, what it does for people, be they customers, shareholders, or other groups, and what it means to work in this transformed state. For example, IBM, the company made famous for creation of early computing devices, transformed to be a consulting organization, developing new approaches to using artificial intelligence and cloud-based data with it's now famous Watson AI computer program. Now all organizations will need to drastically reinvent themselves as IBM have and so there are different stimulators that will create the transformation.
