Helpful phrases to demonstrate insightful listening
- Insightful listening is a combination of question, and deeper question, open-ended and then double-click, and then the playback, and in the playback, some of the phrases that I particularly enjoy hearing and using so that clients light up and feel understood, "If I understand you correctly, "You didn't quite say this, "perhaps this is also important to you, "I get a sense you might be feeling, "How is that? "Is that true?" Those kinds of phrases let the client know you're listening to what they're saying, but also much deeper. And again, you create that trust. They become much more available to listen to your advice.
