- I view my job as a leader to hire people better than me. That was something that Mark Zuckerberg, when he hired me, made it very clear that my job in terms of scaling Facebook and the business was to hire people better than me, and that's how he feels he approaches hiring, and so I've been very thoughtful about how to build the executive team around me, so that at any given day, if my boss were to say to me, now, you report to that person, as opposed to that person reporting to me, my reaction would be, okay, great, I have no issue with it, versus are you kidding me? I hired that person, I should be more senior, and so that's been my philosophy on leadership is hiring people better than me. What it has also allowed me to do is scale the business in such a faster way, because my original leadership sort of mode when I got to Facebook was what I would describe as whack-a-mole. Everywhere there was an issue or a client concern or a meeting or a speech. I was running around the world…
