How to become a content machine

- Many people working on building their brand find it's a full time job to create provocative content. So what's a thought leader to do? Sometimes it's hard just to come up with interesting ideas, so let's start there. Start by making content creation a habit. Once you know what's easiest for you to create, schedule time every week to capture your provocative content, frameworks, and observations. For example, you might do a weekly video with a thought of the week. If you don't have a good idea, take a look at the front page of the newspaper or your favorite industry blog. Something I've done is to make a list of big themes in my work. For me, themes include subscription pricing, membership mindset, business model disruption, and so on. Then I look at the latest news articles and see if any of the articles connect with timeless themes. For example when Amazon acquired Whole Foods, what did that mean for their members? Who was disrupted? All kinds of possibilities emerge when you match…
