- I asked the former CEO of Patagonia about his influence role models. He said the person he most looked up to was someone in Patagonia who reported up to him, Jill Dumain. With regular influence, you focus on key people connected to getting your current tasks done. Executive influencers like Dumain do much more than that. Here are three key ways they engage more people more impactfully. First, they use purpose as a passport. Patagonia is a leading outdoor apparel firm with a mission to use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis.
