How to courageously call out unwanted behaviors in the moment

- Think about a person at work that really gets on your nerves. Got that person in mind? If so, I have a quiz for you. Why do they do what they do? Is it because they like to stir up trouble? Do they just seek attention? Maybe they have some sort of disorder. You may never really know the root cause of someone's behavior but here's what you can know, people do what works for them. A common reason for dysfunctional behavior is because the behavior has been allowed. For example, an employee tells jokes about gender, minorities, and sexual orientation. This makes people cringe but most of the time they go along with him and laugh. As a leader, you must find the courage to course-correct this behavior in the moment.
